Cascading Behavior of an Extended Watts Model on Networks

چکیده

In this study, we propose an extended Watts model to examine the effect of initiators on information cascades. The assumes that nodes with connections have low adoption thresholds than other nodes, due significant influence initiators. We develop a tree approximation describe active node fraction for in random networks and derive cascade condition global occur small By analyzing window Erdős–Rényi graph, find increasing facilitates possibility cascades, i.e., how many eventually become is significantly affected by threshold directly connected initiators, which determine dynamics at early stages.

Cascading Model of Infrastructure Networks based on Complex Network

The paper focuses on the cascading failure phenomenon of infrastructure networks. A new cascading model is proposed to analyze the cascading failure characteristics of the systems. Based on the model, we present a good evaluation method of node importance to identify the key nodes which may cause cascading failures of infrastructure networks. Finally, the damage degree of infrastructure network...

AN EXTENDED FUZZY ARTIFICIAL NEURAL NETWORKS MODEL FOR TIME SERIES FORECASTING

Improving time series forecastingaccuracy is an important yet often difficult task. Both theoretical and empirical findings haveindicated that integration of several models is an effectiveway to improve predictive performance, especiallywhen the models in combination are quite different. In this paper,a model of the hybrid artificial neural networks andfuzzy model is proposed for time series for...

Model for cascading failures in complex networks.

Large but rare cascades triggered by small initial shocks are present in most of the infrastructure networks. Here we present a simple model for cascading failures based on the dynamical redistribution of the flow on the network. We show that the breakdown of a single node is sufficient to collapse the efficiency of the entire system if the node is among the ones with largest load. This is part...

Abnormal cascading on complex networks.

In the study of cascading failures on complex networks, a key issue is to define capacities of edges and nodes as realistically as possible. This leads to the consideration of intrinsic edge capacity associated with laws governing flows on networks, which goes beyond the existing definitions of capacity based on the initial load as quantified by the betweenness centrality. Limited edge capacity...
